boss

While he may seem like a hardass, I think Benson is actually a very good boss. He takes his job seriously, which is a good quality in a manager. He always has things for his employees to do, and he expects them to perform their duties to the best of their ability. He never really asks too much of them. If it seems that way, it's probably because it's Mordecai and Rigby who are griping about his demands or simply blowing them off.

I also think it's worth noting that Benson doesn't appear to consider himself above the others; he will do down-and-dirty type work around the park as well. He will change light bulbs, paint the benches in the park, pick up children for a party, etc. There are many facets to his job, and he performs them all with much dedication.

On that note, there are times when Benson may come off as a workaholic. He has said on more than one occasion that his job is all he has. I'd like to think that isn't true, and that he appreciates other things in his life such as his friends (which I consider the employees to be) and now Audrey. But it is easy to see where he's coming from. A lot of people consider their job the most important thing in their life, and Benson happens to be one of those people. It's like with anger, being a workaholic is just a major attribute of his.
